Inside
Mount
Measure the width and
height of the window opening at the points where the plantation shutters will be mounted (on the inside portion
of the drywall or trim). Consider whether the drywall or trim narrows further
back into the window opening (See Figure 1). If so, you will
want to take the narrower of measurement A or B if that is where you are going to mount your plantation shutters. If your window has a window sill, measure the height from the window sill to the top of the window opening. Most importantly for inside mount plantation
shutters, measure the actual window opening (do not make any deductions). For
an inside mount, the factory will make all necessary deductions from your window size to ensure that your plantation shutters
fit into your window.
For inside mount plantation shutters, always
round your measurements DOWN to the nearest 1/16th inch. Rounding up may result in plantation shutters that are too
wide or too long for your window. For example, if the actual measurment falls between 3/16" and 1/4", round down
to 3/16. When ordering, use the narrowest width and shortest height.
