Wood Blinds:
A solid (wood trim) mounting surface is recommended
for any backspacing less than 1-1/2". Inside mounts NOT recommended for
backspace less than 3/4".
- If backspace is 3-1/4" or greater, a standard inside valance (without returns) is
possible. You can still do an outside valance if you would like, but specify the return lenght you desire.
- If backspace is between 3-1/4" and 2-1/4", order a return length of at least 1/2".
- If backspace is between 2-1/4" and 2", order a return length of at least 3/4".
- If backspace is between 2" and 1-3/4", order a return length of at least 1".
- If backspace is between 1-3/4" and 1-1/2", order a return length of at least 1-1/4".
- If backspace is between 1-1/2" and 1-1/4", order a return length of at least 1-1/2".
- If backspace is between 1-1/4" and 1", order a return length of at least 1-3/4".
- If backspace is between 1" and 3/4", order a return length of at least 2".
Vertical Wood Blinds:
Inside mounts NOT recommended for backspace less than 2-3/4".
- If backspace is 4-1/2" or greater, a standard inside valance (without returns) is possible. You can still do an
outside valance if you would like, but specify the return length you desire.
- If backspace is between 4-1/2" and 3-1/2", order a return length of at least 1/2".
- If backspace is between 3-1/2" and 3-1/4", order a return length of at least 3/4".
- If backspace is between 3-1/4" and 3", order a return length of at least 1".
- If backspace is between 3" and 2-3/4", order a return length of at least 1-1/4".
